Important Message for Chapter 5 Tutorial
After the book went to press, we noticed a potential problem with the Chapter 5 tutorial. Depending on how you've set up Dreamweaver, the "Adding a Navigation Bar" section of the tutorial may not work correctly.
When you get to Step 1 on page 188, read the instructions below. The rest of the tutorial will work fine.
- Return to Dreamweaver and make sure the file tutorial.html is open.
- Just below the banner is an empty, light gray area. If you see the gold shield character used to represent a line break (
), click it, then press the left arrow key. This moves the insertion point to the left of the line break. - If you don't see the gold shield character, just click anywhere inside the light gray area as pictured in Figure 5-21 on page 189.
