About David Sawyer McFarland David McFarland is the president of Sawyer McFarland Media. He has been designing and building Web sites since 1995, and teaching Web design, production and programming since 1999. He's been using Dreamweaver since version 2.0. Before working with the Web, McFarland was a graphic designer in print media. He was art director for American Brewer Magazine, Cups: the Cafe Culture Magazine, and Beer: the Magazine. As Art Director for a San Francisco Bay Area communications company, he built his first Web site and was hooked on the (then) new medium. He served as the Web master of the University of California at Berkeley and the Berkeley Multimedia Research Center, before starting Sawyer McFarland Media. He's worked with such clients as Charles Schwab, Intuit and the University of California at Berkeley. In addition he's taught at various institutions around San Francisco including the Center for Electronic Art, the Academy of Art College, and Ex'Pressions Center for New Media.
