EG c:\Windows open the file and check if the parameters are set to the following: (these should be the last two entries in the my.ini file). user=root password= If not change to these settings and save. You'll need to re-start XAMPP; Apache; mySQL This should take care of the Access violation LIBMYSQL.dll pop-ups.
