The very simple copy and paste commands will not work. I have tried copy from other files like Word or just simply words in a Dreamweaver HTML file. I tried the edit copy and paste, ctrl c and putting the paste into the code and the design areas and I get nothing. Dreamweaver version 8.02. In preferences I have tried the copy and paste as text and as the more complicated options and neither work. I can copy and paste in other programs.

Any thoughts? Is there some service that is either not on or on and should be off?

I haven’t seen that problem before. There are no controls in Dreamweaver that let you turn on/off copy paste. You might try uninstalling then reinstalling Dreamweaver.

In addition, the Adobe Dreamweaver Support Forums are a great place to post a question like this: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/index.cfm?forumid=12. A lot of people go to those forums, so if anyone else has had the problem you’re encountering, you’ll definitely get a response to your question.

I am having problems with DW8 on Vista Ultimate 64bit. I can not use the file explorer in DW8. When I do, DW crashes to desktop. Even when I use the save as, I get the same problem. Creating new pages has become problematic.
