Sep142006Dreamweaver Tip: Using the Select Recently Modified Command

There’s a really quick way to select all of the files you’ve edited in the past day…a useful technique if, at the end of a long day of Web page editing, you want to upload your hard work to your Web server. The command is located in the contextual menu in the upper right corner of the Files Panel. Choose Edit->Select Recently Modified. In the Window that appears, type 1 in the “Days” field and Dreamweaver will find all of the files you’ve modified in the last day. After the command runs, the files are highlighted in the Files Panel, so you can use any command that’s available to selected files such as Reports, Find and Replace or, yes, putting files up on your Web server.

Here’s a video of the process.
