Dave, great book so far.

What I am missing is more information on PostgreSQL 8.1.4, Apache 2.2.2, PHP 5.1.4, Smarty Template Engine (.tpl files), integration of these on a Centos 4.3.x Server. Examples of advanced form handling and dynamic data with advanced validation in this environment would be great. Even some infor on PEAR perhaps?

Perhaps enough topics for a new book???

Best,
Emile

David,

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the book already, and I'm loving it. I just took a look at a style for the Sage RSS reader extension to Firefox, and I was actually able to _fully_ understand it and even modify a couple of things I didn't quite like.

I saw the Slashdot review, checked out the free chapter and bought the book the same night even though I had to go a bit out of my way to find it in stock!

Kerim,

Yes, the free chapter on the O'Reilly web site doesn't have a tutorial. However, the rest of the book has <strong>15 separate tutorials (over 100 pages worth)</strong> that cover everything from basic CSS to advanced CSS concepts and page layout.
