Mar292006Dreamweaver 8.01 Bug on Macs

Windows users move along–this doesn’t effect you.

But Mac users may want to know that the version 8.01 updater for Dreamweaver 8 (available here) disables a pretty good feature: the ability to print the code of a page or other type of file. While not an absolutely necessary feature, it can come in handy when you want to distribute samples of HTML code–like when distributing example code to a class like I often do.

However, the updated 8.01 version does bring performance and stability improvements to the Mac, so it’s probably a worthwhile upgrade anyway.

If you ‘ve been frustrated when trying to print out your code, that’s probably the reason why. You can find out more on the Adobe/Macromedia web site: Click here for the Tech Note/

Hya,

Thanks for the Missing Manual files, and Thanks for the Dreamweaver8 tutorial which I have added to my Video tutorial forum. Hopefully you have more coming..lolol

Interesting about the Mac problem with printing the code. There have been questions in newsgroups about the problem. Obvious they took the updater.
Thanks for that too.
