Mar72006Quickly Open a Linked Page in Dreamweaver

When you’re hurrying through a big pile of updates to your site, you probably find yourself editing related, linked files. For example, say you update your home page by adding a link to another page on your site. You next want to update the page you just linked to. The slow way to do this (and probably the way most people do it) is to either open the file from the Files Panel or choose File→Open and then locate and select the file.

A faster way is to right-click (ctrl-click on Mac) on the link on the home page and choose Open Linked Page from the contextual menu that appears.

The tech-editor of my book, Murray Summers, pointed out an even better method: Ctrl-double-click the link (Cmd-double-click on Macs) and Dreamweaver opens the page that the link points to.

I found this trick very useful. Thanks
I posted a simple request on David Pogue’s Website and it’s regarding the necessity for a person like me to have the beautiful “Dreamweaver 8: The Missing Manual” (i own the copy bought by Amazon) in a much “light” format, being often outside cause of my work.I simply asked if it was somewhere available a PDF version of the book to have it under the eyes while working.
Thanks in Advance.
A italian reader and fun of your books.
Stefano
